Lynn, it looks like Hunter may have some terrain open next week. I can meet you there if you like. I really wanted to get a couple of hours on the new boots for last minute tweaks.? OK, you must use the terms "ass" and not "bum" while skiing and I will be falling as well. I subscribe to the same philosphy that you are not learning if you are not falling. You will enjoy the Beav' if you liked DV. THe local joke is that millionaires go to Vail, billionaires go to the Beav. I don't kow what your financial situation is but you will see spending from the real high rollers like you have never seen. Its can be humbling. My instructor is typically booked for 3 weeks in Feb/march by one family. He takes the 3 kids and skis with them- thats about $500 per day for baby sitting. These are kids and he doesn't really teach them, just skis with them. You can do the math....
We have been going to Park City for the past 7 yrs for a ski week. We generally stay in the outlet area or vrbo spot nearby and go to a different resort everyday with Alta a must for 2 of those days. Deer Valley is where we usually go the first day, since the terrain and grooming lends itself to acclimatization (skiing and altitude). NOw Snowbasin! The lodges there make DV look second rate!
My skiing skills are very modest and match my financial situation.

I will have the oldest skis and boots there, but I am a happy camper
