Just resurrecting this old thread for a quick report out. I've been doing JB's ankle drills on a somewhat regular basis. While I do not have an ankle issues, it still hurts to go through a full set. Whenever the Phillies did the playoff thing, I did them watching the game, and, continue to do them at night. Damn Yankee's.

This fall I've been playing some golf. I walk and carry my clubs at a hilly, short course. At the end of a round, my ankles and feet are far less fatigued, but, the real improvement is my balance during the swing is much improved. I won't swear that the cause/effect is fully attributable to stronger ankle support, but, it sure seems to help. Philpug and I played yesterday in the 70 degree Philly weather. Ski season, so near yet so far away.

Phil also sold a pair of older skis at his shops swap meet, so I've got a store credit to spend. I'm thinking about a Transpack to carry boots and stuff as a backpack plus.

The old skis were Machette Sin's and were the first pair of shaped skis I used after returning to skiing following a 10 year hiatus. Not great eastern ice skis, but, they worked really well in soft or spring snow. I've a lot of good memories about the days I did on them, and, it still bothers me that it was time to sell them. Phil tells me the new buyer is a big guy returning to skiing, just like the original owner. So they are recycled!

Bring on the snow.
