Very good point. Haven't seen that, but did drive up the valley a few years ago to see Mt. St. Helens and was just dumbstruck at the amount of dirt and mud that was moved; Spirit Lake (I think that is the name) which is still there except 300 feet higher than it used to be, etc.? Mud deposited for miles and miles down the valley.? One of the most awesome things I have ever seen.? Just staggering, but still pales in comparison, now that you mention it, to what it took to form new islands in the midst of the Pacific.
