This summer I have discovered the biking bug. Bought a road bike because I just needed something to jump on and exercise. Why riding to the gym 7 miin has been an obstacle for me to exercise is anyone's guess, but I have learned that I am good at doing things I like, and I like riding a bike. I am much more consistent with my exercise now.
The biggest benefit to me so far is that it has caused me to get serious about the extra 12 -15 lbs of weight I have been wanting to loose for 12-15 years. I live in the piedmont (rolling hills before the mountains) of NC and cranking up hills with extra weight is no fun. I am learning to hate that jelly roll

.
Having fun with it. My oldest son is an urban fixed gear rider and he can just crank it. So the other part of this that I like is that it helps me connect with him (21 yo) I have also notice that it does more for your core muscles than you would expect.
Looks like all are well. My skiing days were just 12 last year but made as much improvement as any previous season. With 2 in college starting soon and continuing for 8 years!!!!!!!!(yikes) I will be on the budget plan as well Lynn.
