Ron, your drink made with seltzer is NOT a cosmopolitan. It is some attempt at, but not the REAL thing.

A true cosmopolitan has cranberry juice cocktail ( I tried real cranberry juice, organic even, but it didn't cut the mustard. And if your'e drinking these, I say give up any attempt at being healthy for the moment!), vodka, triple sec and fresh lime. NO SELTZER!!!
Pour over crushed ice and let sit for a few minutes. A little dilution by the ice helps meld the drink into that pale pink concotion that just slips down oh so quietly. On the edge of sweet/tart. Deadly if done on an empty stomach.
