I have no strong preference regarding the mountains in southern Vt. and the main reason is this is much more of a social gathering with skis on. All the southern mountains have pluses and minuses. Throw Pico in the mix- decent vertical with a high speed, not a great deal of terrain but for a weekend, I'd be game. I remember Okemo as flat, flat, flat. Stratton will always have a special place in my heart as it's my first bigger mountain experience and we had a house there one winter. Not been back in many many years. Would be nice to do a townhouse for a weekend. Pay your money and take your chances with weather and snow conditions.   Picking a date that's  convenient is a much harder issue.
