Well said, I think this leads to another thread but it was so obvious that there were two disctinct kinds of advanced skier on the mountain.

1- high speed, wide ski's underfoot, limited turning ability, skid to slow- any quick movements were awkward and sloppy. Movements were rotary and muscled

2- High speed skilled skier with control and technique. Movements were carved and balanced.
