Skiing in the trees in Blue Sky Basin at Vail (behind the back bowls).? I think this was Pete's area, to the left on a trail map.

And no, I didn't have the nerve to disturb the "balance of life".

Now, looking at the first picture, there is a distinct glint of mischief in Lyn's eyes.  Innate in her character, I would guess.  Now, looking at those pillows of snow on the branches......Jim, if I were you, I wouldn't be caught under one of those if Lyn were within a Leki poke of the tree.  Do you carry an avi beacon? Or at least a snorkel?
