Well gang, the good life caught up with us today. While we were high at A base, it got very warm in the valley and Vail. An overnight freeze coupled with cloudy conditions, resulted in snow, no make that boiler plate, that did not soften much. One tough day to ski, especially because we were at Vail. It was so frustrating riding lifts and looking at snow that appeared as fluffy as what we saw the past two days, but, it was frozen solid and unskiable.  We got through, found a few trails that worked, happy hour and dinner were great.  Kastle 88's will need some edge work tonight.

The aspect of the gathering that just differentiates it is that I got to ski with 40 friends I never met before. All are just like those who post here, really passionate about skiing.

Tomorrow is another day, maybe some snow tonight. It's warm so we'll see.

Still, really glad I'm here.
