Back at ya Jim! Happy Four of July to all my American friends! Hope you all have a great long weekend.
We celebrated our couintry's birthday today, and it was a good one -- yes Jim, it included some exercise. 30 km ride this morning with Terryl, in fabulous summer weather -- 20 km on rail trail, then a terrific detour into Albion Hills for some proper trails. Terryl had jets on today -- yes Lynn, I was beaten by a girl
No way I could keep up to her...at least on the rail trail....in the woods the 29er is in its element
and I could at least keep up to her.
Then I spent the afternoon tuning up all four of the family's mtn. bikes under a shade tree, in preparation for a long ride tomorrow with the kids on some single track a few hours north of here near my brother's place. Then tonight it was exercising the toasting arm at the annual neighbourhood Canada Day street party and fireworks. Great fun! We just have the best neighbours.
Jim & Lynn -- enjoy Rhode Island. And best wishes to your son on his coming work in Afghanistan. I have nothing but the greatest respect. I'm sure it will be an incredible experience for him.
