Sorry for the delay at getting back to this thread. There are a few amenities still missing in the Snowbasin area, like wi-fi and breakfast, and since I got back been real busy picking skis and boots for next years buy.

A couple of facts about me. 53 years old, 35 of this spent in the ski industry at a lot of levels. 230 lbs, former full certified instructor and freestyle competitor. Work on hill with boot fits for PSIA and PMTS instructors and ed staff.

The new Supershape Magnum is a great all mountain extension of the original. You really do not have to tip the skis over anymore to get the same results as before, maybe if you are trying to show and exaggerated move to a student it would take more speed to show this. None of the power is lost on the hill. These two new Magnums will give you everything and with the chip version a little more peace of mind as you pop out of a turn at high speed. Probably not as good as a master race  ski. If you didn't know they where different it is very hard to distinguish the two shapes. Sat down at lunch with Peter and he had a lot of the same opinions, watch for his review to come. The Xenon line from Head is a very interesting alternative to all mountain front side riping. We skied the 9.0 and 7.0. The shapes at 124/73/108 are a powerful alternative to the SS for everyday lay back skiing. These ski skis pull you into a turn with ease but allow you to control the shape of the turns. Much more skier control than a Metron and a lot more life than a Rossi Zenith. The only weak point is a little two much tip looseness at high speeds. These are very good skis to ski with confidence and still learn the to use the shape to make a turn.

I'm a better communicator in person than writing. Hopefully this does not confuse too many people. Look for other good reviews to come on this website and the ones that have already come up on Epic. The review Bob Peters did on the Head's is right on. ( I'm the midwesterner he talks about). Also look for Sierrajims upcoming reviews as he has a good handle on skis.

Buy the way, the best ski I skied for fronntside all mountain ripping like I like. The Dynastar Limited (Contact 11) and for backside all mountain the Fischer Watea 84. Again my opinion just for me.
