Todd:  But don't forget that not only does the balance have to be right for normal (i.e. forward skiing) but you also want good balance when skiing switch, and the rotational inertia has to be balanced when getting big air in order to really stick the landings.  There's nothing worse than doing  flips or spins and having your skis mess with the timing of the landing because of inertial off-set.  ::)

I think all of these aspects are necessary to really find the sweet spot in the ski, at least for a dynamic and aggressive skier like me; and I'm sure Gary feels the same way.
