Lynn and I have 2 trips west scheduled and another planned.  Colorado in December, utah in January, and then Colorado for her annual medical conference (aka subsidized ski trip). We bought Epic passes last year and again this year. $600 for 25 days made it a very reasonable daily rate for lift passes. Yes, in Utah you have to play the discount lift pass game. Even if oit means attending time-share presentations.
I will say that life changes dramatically once kids are out and on their own.
