1000 feet vertical in 20 min. is really pretty quick.  At our local resort on a medium-busy day, you can wait in line 10 to 15 minutes, then a 5 minute ride, just to ski down 700 feet vertical.  On a busy weekend, add 10 minutes.     Same time for AT, or less, and no crowds, no rude idiots in the lift line to deal with, no frustration....just peace and quiet of having the woods all to yourself.   This is starting to sound very appealing.....
