the thing is I am not hard core nor is mary woodward. We are just motivated and IMO get the most important thing that skiing is fun and its more fun when you put forth effort. I just cringe when I read on epic that some 25ish year old kid doesnt like to hike because its 'hard" I literally could not be friends with that person. Or when people say they are too old and out of shape to do something, your only to old and out of shape because your telling yourself you are.
