In PMTS we are not looking for the hips to stay square, we are actually looking for the counteracting forces that occur when the hips rotate against the direction of the turn or the skis. Square hips usually results in rotation of the upper body into or with the turn versus against or countered against the turn.

i think he meant square to the hill. Not to the skis. why anyone would want to be square to the skis is beyond me.
