So Liam, do your comments mean that if we put up a random video of a WC ski run that you could tell us why the skier won or lost from a technical and tactical perspective?

Yep.  Skied the tighter line without falling at greater speed.  Regardless of what video you put up, that's the answer. In fact, in any racing sport that's the answer.  Sports with speed clocks are the easiest to analyze.

If you'd like, I can explain why Usain Bolt wins races as well.   I particularly love his technical skill of celebrating with 10 meters still left in the 100m (or is that a tactical skill?).
