Advantages of on snow assessments
« on: March 05, 2012, 10:39:07 pm »
As I have mentioned several times, I have a fairly neutral alignment.  I have a little bit of forefoot varus and that is compensated for in my foot bed.

Imagine my surprise when after three turns under Diana's critical eye, she says "we need to get rid of your bow-leggedness".  This is not static bow-legged, but clearly is an effective on the snow bow-legged assessment, because testing with a couple of shims made an immediate difference in my skiing.

So now after getting 2mm on my left boot and 1.5 on my right, I guess I need to correct my comment to say that I have a fairly neutral static alignment.
