Hi Scott,

 I know the early 8800 are approximately 2 cm forward from the newest model. The older models tend to tip dive if mounted on the mark while the new models perform well in soft snow.

The problem is I don't know which year the new position began. You might need to compare your ski to a 06/07 model to be sure.
