I was going to pick up a pair of XRC 800's based on Harald's preferences for a narrower waisted ski for intermediates to learn carving skills.? After my enlightenment with Rich at Dumont in March, I think that is a good recommendation. I see they have fattened up the 800 XRC to 69mm (from 66)? at the waist.? I see they have fattened up the 260 as well.? Is that much change significant?? I wonder if I should be trying to pick up last years model?? I am really committed to learning carving skill and think Harald is right on based on my new understanding of what it takes to tilt a ski on edge.? I ski in the East but hope to get out West for a camp next year.  Appreciate anyone's thoughts.? ?
