IT DOESN'T MATTER. 

You can't slide down a mountain covered with predictions.  You can very effectively slide down a mountain that is covered with snow even if it wasn't predicted.

My feeling is that this is going to be a Los Lobos winter, and that all of the Utah and Colorado slopes will be open by Christmas.
Actually, I also think the east is going to have a much better winter this year.  Just a feeling, not a prediction.
