Agreed but soon, you won't have many runs left. In the poconos, there are places where almost the entire mtn are now parks.  Mountain Creek in NJ is all but a couple runs now. Its cheaper and easier to maintain overall. The appeal isn't really for the family; its for the park rat. Liability, good question, it's been upheld in the courts so far. Skiing and snowboarding are inherently dangerous sports;  That said, will they soon make an adult purchase tickets for minors, that would interesting.
