When last out there, I asked someone about it. (I forget who though). Anyway, they said that while the large trees would succumb, the smaller trees are not affected. And that there is evidence that this may be a natural cycle that nature goes thru. Though the risk of fire (even if part of natures plan) seems pretty likely. I wonder if they plan some controlled burns or pruning of the dead trees around clusters of younger trees. A big undertaking to handle the acreage.
