Excellent post and good pictures.
Aren't the huge beams in the lodges just awesome?? And yes to the over the top elegance of the bathrooms, but you are also right about the down to earth friendliness of the people.?

Especially amazing when I remember my first trip there in 1999? when they were still getting ready for the Olympics and? building/renovating the lodges.? The bathrooms were little more than outhouses in mobile trailers (and not very well heated).

My favorite location is over to the left with the Strawberry gondola and the view out over the Salt Lake from the catwalk at the top of the gondola.
