You are right.? We were the last ride up once just as they were closing the Gondola.? Really scary getting across the catwalk with ZERO visibility, and it was even harder for the snowboarders.? They would slide out into the open and just instantly get blown over.? On that day, at least, I think they should have closed the Gondola an hour earlier.? It was a sobering ski back to the base area as we realized how protected from the reality of the weather we normally are. I remember how concerned we were, knowing that if you accidentally wind up at the bottom of the gondola you have a problem (although I'm sure they have some sort of emergency access).?
