Approaching the aspect of pole planting, may I contribute a tidbit of insight from the other gender?? I would NOT trade my Leki poles for any other carbon light weights.? The grip, for my smaller hand, is intuitive, balanced, and ultimately comfortable for all types of terrain. They are slightly contoured as well, which allows for varying radii of turns.

As for garter belts, they? are best left for apres-ski or mardi-gras events on ski slopes, next to the ladies lingerie hanging from tree branches via a long chair lift? .? If one requires a decoder manual for such pole attachments, serious assistance is needed, beyond HH clinics? .

Hmm, what size for 5'4". I am sure they will show up on some discount site this spring!
