North side is the north side of the I-70 tunnel, not north facing..? If my bearings are correct it faces east and a bit south.

Loveland is somewhat U-shaped around the bowl that I-70 comes up through and the ridgeline (and Continental Divide) that the Eisenhower tunnel goes under.
Also, the lodge and main parking lots are on the South side, so the easy way is just to ski the easy groomers on the South side of I-70.  Actually, now that I think of it some of the South side is actually North facing.   ;D ;D
