Pillow Line
« on: March 14, 2010, 07:39:21 am »
It's a well documented fact that Gary takes his skis to bed and Alice has been accused of doing a similar deed. There's been discussion about what the prodigy of the JJ's and MX78's would ski like.

Check out the below link found in an Epic thread. Do you think G is the inspiration or are there a whole community of Pillow Line Skiers?

thanks for posting that Mike.  I also can't believe the amount of time and attention to detail involved in creating that.

Hi Jim,
So how was Utah? This Pa. rain is really depressing. I still need to ski, not ready to break out the road bike or golf clubs! Thinkin' Stowe or Maine. I always said that Pa skiing ends around St. Paticks day, but it's going to be 60 here on Wednesday. Green beer is ok, but, spring skiing is sooo much better!

Yes, whoever did that video invested many hours. Too funny! I think Gary had something to do with this!

Mike:

Utah was very nice.? I will wait for Lynn to write the trip report since she is better at it than I, but I really like the ability to go to a different place each day in Utah (we stayed at Kimball Junction by Park City). This was the first time I have ever experienced the way 10" of new snow fills up the bumps and smooths everything out.? I have a sore rib, Lynn has a sore left knee, and a weeks vacation to recover from the 'vacation' would be nice.? The flights back to a stormy east coast was the downer to the end of a very nice trip.

At the end of the day at Deer Valley we were skiing down the runout to the base of theJordanelle Gondola.? I turned around and was sliding backwards so I could? admire Lynn's form? ;D ;) and got my weight off balance.? Somewhere in the fall, the handle of my pole jabbed me in the ribs.

No good deed goes unpunished.  I should have kept my mind on the skiing and my eyes down the trail.   >:D >:D

PS.  I can't wait until Lynn reads this one.

Hmm, you SAID you were looking at my counterbalancing!!

Gee, you guys just can't be trusted. :D

The intercostal area was a lovely shade of blue with some swelling. When needed, a small jab to the ribs took care of any further lack of attention to my skiing skills. >:D

Jim,
Ya look, ya get in trouble, ya don't look and ya still get in trouble. ::)
Been there, done that - and more than once!

I'll bet you meant to say "I was captivated at the most beautiful skier, doing just great turns, and, just could not believe she was skiing with me!"

Or wait a second, was that Gary's line in Jackson Hole? Oh ....Alice :-* :-*
