New Must-have gadet! This is not spam :)
« on: April 20, 2007, 10:50:08 am »
Yes, folks, its the end of the season and the good sales start. Ok, you don't need this but it looks like a lot of fun. Its the Silva speedometer, you put it on your leg and then keep track of distance skied and most importantly, how fast! Yes, find out that you really don't ski as fast as you think or just settle the score. Another gadget and another thing to discuss over that apri-ski beer or whiskey!  (I believe for Michael its Baileys and coffee?)

Cheers!

ROn....where do you find this stuff....very cool though. I think you should own one.

Hey, I see some of the resorts are now renting helmet cams. How cool would that be??!?!!!?

Yeah, I do recall Michaels power drink of choice was Baileys and coffee....he's a wild man!

Oh yes, the baileys incedent at the Beav'  ;D In all fairness, Michael was pretty sick that afternoon. Anyway, we'll let him explain if he feels the need,

Helmet cams would be awesome. That's something we should have for the trip.

The speedometer was just too good to pass up. It will be fun to play around with it.

Yeah Michael..come on...let's here the Baileys story...yes Apres skiing at it's finest!

Yep..I'm in on the helmet cams...will have to check to see the boat has them....well maybe as we get a bit closer.

THe speedometer...does it measure how fast and how much food is consumed cause you could start wearing it now just to protect yourself...Ok, that was not nice....

That soeedometer will be a blast the next time we're out. I can see all 8 of us glued to  Ron skiing in a pod so we all will know what our speed is. "how fast am I going...how fast am I going....how fast am I going.." I like it!

Best,
Gary

ugh.

$150 so I can find out (and be disappointed by) how slowly I ski.  No thank you.  I'll remain clueless and tell people how "I'm certain that I must have been doing 45 coming down that green slope today".

Gary/Ron.  Wrong forum, but you have Dec. 15th thru 20th for RealSkiers II.  That's  Saturday thru Thursday?.  Does that mean we are skiing on Saturday (traveling in on a Friday and out on a Friday)?

OK, being 1/4 Irish, the Irish coffee thing is a part of my heritage and it sure beats adding some stupid flavoring to cheap coffee!

If you remember I was able to sleep and return to health after my Irish medicine; I also like tea, honey and Glenfiddich (I know its, Scottish) when I travel and I feel a cold coming on.

Cheers,

Michael

The actaul ski days are pretty open. Generally, its easier to come out here on a saturday and get started on Sunday. We figured 3 days ig not more.

Ahh, Michael O'Barrett!  Any excuse works with me bud!  Just remember to order me a Blantons or Knob Creek, one cube please.

Hey Jim, the more skiing the better...

For sure to ski Sun, Mon, Tues, and Wed for our group. If  you get out on Saturday and have enough time to slap on the boards, all the better.
Figure Saturday night would be a great night to have all get together, have a nice "howdy doody dinner" and watch Michael drink
some of his medicated concoctions.

Yep, good stuff their Michael. I think you should be our officail "Medic" who could provide from any deer ski pouch a medical wonder that could cure all ails. Can we vote on it? Michael, could ya handle 3- 4 deer skin pouches?

Man...Dec seems so freaking far away....fore.......!
Ok Ron...pull......!
