Yes, Happy Birthday Midwif !! And many, many more!
Me thinks I see 4 serious "suck ups"  :-* :-* :-* :-* for some potential derogatory comments re: "hot air" over on the TDF string.

I understand Todd's comments. He was referring to hot air for tires & spring/fall snow for skis. Makes sense to me.   ::)

Lynn,

Happy Birthday to a fellow Leo!

Hmm, Just found this on the web:

And that object is the so-called evening star, the planet Venus, which shines so very, very brilliantly and will be with us all through the summer and on into the early fall, dominating our Western sky. And as we progress through the summers - it's going to be very interesting, Ira. We're going to have what I might call a celestial summit meeting. Because Venus is all by herself right now, but come about four or five weeks down the road from now, it's going to be joined by two other planets in the same area of the sky. They'll be much fainter. Venus is by far the brightest of the planets.

But come the early part of August, first week of August, you'll see two other objects close by to Venus. One will be with a yellowish-orange tinge, that will be the planet Mars, and the other, which will have kind of a yellowish-white or cream color, will be the planet Saturn. And you'll have three planets - what is called by some a planetary trio, because we're going to have three of them - kind of scrunched them to a little spot in the sky during the first week of August and should make for a very picturesque scene for anyone who's looking in the Western sky, let's see, about an hour or two after sundown.

In addition to Lynn and I, Gary is also a fellow Leo. So reading the above, Lynn is Venus because she shines brilliantly, Gary is very warlike, so he's Mars, and, as I have a "halo", I'll be Saturn.

Happy belated Lynn....I've been off in summerland golfing and biking...sorry I missed it.

So....did ya get any new ski gear? Did ya get some cool sporting gifts...come on share with us

Mike....you and your lovely halo...hey...how'd I get to be warlike?
Give me 12 inches of freshies and I'm always at peace!  ;D

Hope all are enjoying their summer.....I am no doubt, but not a day goes by that I don't think of dasnow!
I know call me crazy but thinking turns always brings a broad smile across my face. Besides, my ski boots are parked in my gym (my ski motivators) along with trail maps adorning the walls of some of my favorite resorts. Ah yes....silent powder, sweet.

Best,
G

I haven't checked the site in a few weeks. Happy BDay Lynn!! Getting older is not always somethng to celebrate, but when life is good and we make every day the gift that it is, celebrating is a good thing!! Best, JB.

Thanks All!

Had a wonderful birthday week ( I was on vacation) and had a blast.
Jim and I did some exploring of the trails around his neck of the woods.
Did "difficult run trail" on Sunday. Still learning this MTB stuff, but WHAT FUN!!

Thanks LP for your very lovely alignment of stars! I am honored by the company I keep.

And yes, have new Fishcer Progressor 8 skis waiting  to have their bindings mounted (Power Rail is pretty simple mount). And of course, STP had some other ski stuff with my name on it.

JB, getting older with its attendant aches and pains isn't great, but the  you are correct....greeting each day as a gift to be explored IS!.

Enjoy the rest of summer my fellow Leo's. Winter is comng. I can smell it. :D
