what the skiing is really like at Stowe. Some stoke

Post 1.

well eh smuggs....actually alot of this is filmed in the area between the resorts know as the Birthday Bowls.

since the birthday bowls is larger than most ski resorts by itself and faces north it tends to hold snow longer than just about anywhere in The Notch. Open easy glades to legit extreme you fall you die terrain and everything in between this is just one slice of the almost guaranteed powder skiing at stowe.  It literally is a powder day everyday in their. Just do not get cliffed out or taken out by an avalanche.

Bushwacka:

How do you get to it.  Can you hike from the top of the lift and return to the base of a lift, or is it all true backcountry skiing?

What, No Josh Matta in this video-What a gyp! :D

Seriously, great video (I was glad to see it wasn't all POV filming).  Are these Buds of yours, Bush?  If so, tell that guy Evan Waldman he is one smooth off-piste skier.  Real impressive.  What was he skiing on (if you know)?

well IMO its true BC skiing because its not with in any resort boundaries. Its uncontrolled, and un marked and your paying for a rescue should that happen.

In this case its about a 5 minute hike from the top of Sensation and about a 20 minute skin/traverse back to Stowe. Or from smuggs its about a 15 minute hike, and you ski back down the road.

Like I said though anything outside of a resort is true BC skiing. Does not matter whether its self gained or used by lift.

not my friends I only know Greg Petrics, whos shot in the this video was in alot sketchy terrain than most can imagine hence the wimpy hop turns by him.

Make no mistake Greg is the biggest badass in this part of the world.
