Earliest (!) Season Stoke-warning, more berkshire East content!
« on: November 01, 2011, 07:38:16 pm »
Our fellow poster Green Trails hiked up our local bump to ski some of the 30(!!!) inches of snow that fell on this historic weekend here in western, ma.  Here's some photos of the skiing and a synopsis written by another person who headed up and hiked the B'East on Sunday.

Nope, this ain't VT...it's the Bay State, baby!

Some good general shots of the the local bump included.

I took my turns on Monday.  October skiing.  A bit soft and heavy by then, but lots of cover.

Gotta love it! Seeing leaves in fall colors at trails edge is a very rare sight.

The power of skiing is never better expressed than someone getting up real early, driving in major snow, climbing for an hour and getting one run. I salute you!
