Are we talking about Kenny's double diamond at Vail (not sure about the name) over by the LionHead's gondola?

I bought a pair of goggles there and a pair of hiking boots on a summer visit 3-4 years ago, was surprised to find that Kenny's name was no longer on the store that winter?? If this is the same Kenny, sounds like it makes complete sense and he deserves to be out of business.

it's the one in the same, he had a nasty divorce and lost the shop to his wife. (if I remember correctly) he now works out of Gorsuch in BC, Lets just say I was much, much less pleased with his boot fitting "skills" and approach to customer service. I ended up return ing the boots twice and giving them back my foot beds he made. This was all going on when I first met Gary and he was very diplomatic at that time when I was describing the "fitting" techniques. He can chime in if he wants....... I look back now after going to Billy Kaplan and I realize it was a good learning lesson.

Chiming In.......Hmmm...may be he sold his ex-wife a bill of goods too!......History tends to repeat itself.

Really, when Ron called me and told me what his fitter was trying to do to properly fit him I was flabbergasted. In kind and deliberate words I suggested Ron ask and expect certain things. Ron, trying to be fair to the fitter accepted with some doubt the suspect boots only to realize the great travesty that had occurred.

The boots went back while I watched and waited quietly like a leopard in a tree to pounce on the unsuspecting fitter if he dared show up at the counter to defend his blind attempt to properly fit a good skier.

As luck would have it, the store did right by Ron.

Buyer beware...knowledge is king!

Yeah, Gorsuch was OK, They were a bit hesitant at first but when I showed him the
'footbed" and told him I was already maxed on all buckles AND offered to have him speak to Billy, he changed his tune and took care of it. I showed him my new boots, he didn't say much.....
