"SO....what skis ya bringing???? ? "

That's a tough one.? Currently leaning against the wall we have:

New Fischer RX-9's picked up few months ago

New Head i.m78's picked up last week

New Mythic Riders (sold the 178's and bought 184's)

Racetigers (not a ski for Steamboat)

Likely be the i.m 78's and either the RX-9's or the Mythics? depending on how prolific the early snow is...

Looking forward to it..

TO me cause it's early in the season, sounds like the perfect combo would be the RX9 for rippn' the morning 1"freshies and the 78's would be great for all conditions and up to at least ankle high...and later in the day broken snow. I think you're going to find those IM78's extremly versatile from every thing I 've read and heard about them. I had the IM72, the IM75 and the IM82 and I think the IM78 is the blend and best of the group combined.

AND...if we get dumped on.....you could always rent the big fat boards.

Man..how lucky were we last year with snow....Blessed is the right word....
I'm sitting here shaking my head on how much snow we had to play in.

A repeat...would certainly be nice!

good to have choices. I would also see how its shaping up but the 78 would be a good choice for almost anything. there's a fair amount of cross-over with the Mythic but the 78 will be better as a groomer and soft groomed ski. The 9 would be a lot of fun to rip on for sure. AND I will have some Harts up there for demoing too.

(I posted while Gary was posting; sorry for the duplicate info.)

Ok ROn...truth be known...I'm a weenie when it comes to drinking period...it's more like beer sipping man...as a matter of fact as the mighty mug touched my lips my wife screamed "pull out of that beer dive"....yep,...she really knows me well.

I'm more of a "sippy cup" beer drinker and that's ok with me!

Now let me go through my ski archives and see what interesting photo I can find of "Ron the Badger Banned Boy!"

Oh yeah Ron.....I've got a new camera this year so beware!!!

The picture doesn't lie Cassara!  Your nose is scraping the bottom of that pitcher, no attempts to get out of this one are going to work. you chugged that puppy in 30 seconds, that's why Alice is smiling; she's so proud.... Why else would you have the beer gut you proudly tote around (yikes, I am going to pay for this one)

Now then, you and your camera have already done thier damage! Gary snuck a picture of me putting on my hernia belt last season... How low can you go?  What a friend...... ;D ;D ;D ;D

Really..no chugging....

Alice is always proud....

Beer gut....hmmm....how many abs can you count puggy!!!! Ok...you're not puggy now cause you're on the hospital diet of Valium and Perkaset.....might explain the fantasy and arbitrary thoughts lately.

And yes, this friend admires your willingness to pose in any ski gear for the camera and will continue to click away to share the fun and games at every Real Skiers event.

All jesting aside....

are people still skiing anywhere in the continental USA?

Best to all,
G

How many abs? Well, 4 squares currently but i do have to admit that my core is poor! :)  Since I couldn't do situps or anytrhing core related for about 6 months, I am i serious need of getting that back in shape. I must admit to my short-comings (you see I cam looking for sympathy here) I must say i only took 4 percosets in total... Does the world need a blurry, dazed Ron???

and yes, they is still skiing at mt hood and Whislter. I also understand folks are still hiking for turns in various places although the turns are limited. If you look at EPIC in the trip reports and such, folks are still posting pics.
