Hey Nevils
welcome back!!

Okay, back to weak knees, weak stomaches, fat heads and crumbling legs.

yes - if you have strong knees - otherwise you get et, just like people with weaker knees in jungle that can''t run fast enough

If you ski them smooth, you are skiing them smart. Liittle stress on the knees.

I will say that skiing them the way gary and Phil both taught me has little stress on the kness. Clendenon's method is expecially smooth and relaxed. Phil ski's the big nasty, rustted up crap with poise and balance.

Ron..ya beat me to the punch....

I don't profess to be an expert in the bumps but what I've learned is that controling your speed IS THE KEY to navigating the "Sharks Teeth".

My breakthrough came with my one day experience with John Clendenin...and it was truly an eye opener.

Watch him ski bumps and see how effortlessly he skis them. His 4 key words: Drift, Center, Touch and Tip are taped to my computor. If you watch the video, you can see  these primary motions at work. If you ever get a chance to meet the master and get a lesson, any fears or hesitation about bumps will begin to fade away.

Those "Sharks Teeth" will be become your playing field and open more of the mountain for you.

Best,
G

There are a couple of things key to skiing bumps.

Pole Plants. These set your tempo for the turns. Proper pole plants also help you keep your hands in front of you. You have to treat your poles like your gear shift in a car, it will allow you to "up shift" to accelerate and "down shift" to decelerator.

Momentum. Momentum is your friend in the bumps, it allows you to flow for one mogul to the next.

Gee....I don't do veal......blue cheese......or lamb...however,

Happy to tip the server for some Salmon, Sea bass or Filet Migon!

Heck...I'd even tip for a nice dish of pasta with spicy Italian sausage!

Love veal, especially when you can taste the desperation.
