#5 is a given.... there's really no point in discussing this... ???

Alright you puppies....all of ya....pull up your boot straps and suspenders....

I shall attempt with no concerns for limb or life to clear up this banter:

Out on the snow when you're making turns....there's no girls, boys..woman or men....you're a skier...either capable of holding your own with the pack or taking a side trail and meeting the other skiers at the bottom.

Here, there is no #5 rule...
Right or wrong....ski ahead or to the side of me otherwise my twins tails will pummel you with snow pellets, if there's powder...you ski till the your energy force has left your body....carve it, drift it, bump, tree it, but look out after your ski buddies cause you may not be sleeping with em...but when you need a hand up or someone to watch that jump and great run you just had....they be there for ya!

Finally, #5 applies when the skis go into the ski rack!  ;)

Oh boy.... ;D

Alright, correct me if I'm wrong........it's great to ski with us but the fairy tales which follow during the apres-ski are totally open to our editing.......hmmmm, this has good potential  >:D

I appreciate the fact that Ron has total comprehension of the issue.  ;)

Now, about the clinic..........the re is the potential for adverse side effects given the diverse offering of opinions. Perhaps there should be a counsel session attached to the instructional portion of the proposed PMTS stint??

The outcome of the clinic might be two-fold:

1.  Something might be absorbed from the PMTS method that has not yet been registered in one's gray matter.

2.  #5 will be indelible  ;D ;D ;D

Just think, the clinic could be multi-dimensional in it's outcome  ;D

Gary:

While I appreciate your attempts to straighten things out, I want to offer some clarification on several points where I believe you are in error.

1. While I may be a bit older than you, I am certainly not yet dead, and I want you to know that I know that there ARE girls and women on the slopes.? I can tell just by looking at them, no matter how goodly or poorly they might ski.? ;D In fact, I can detect this reality from almost any angle, no matter whether they are coming or going!!
2. I didn't realize that if I was unable to 'hang' with the pack that I was supposed to 'take a side trail and meet at the bottom'.? Please forgive any past faux paus on my part.
3. Some of this started with my list of what I have learned from Lynn, and she was pretty adamant that Rule 5 was true ALL OF THE TIME.? Do you suppose you could discuss that with her on my behalf, 'cause I was almost certain that I was right about something one day last week.? >:D ;D

Terryl...no fairy tails.....all true and no clarification necessary... >:D

Yes....I see many values in the PMTS clinic....you can look around while your instructor is teaching and observe there ARE woman on the slopes...(Jim) and you certainly with an open mind take any matter that helps you ski better and insert into your gray matter....it's all downhill. I know there's an unwritten rule in there somewhere.....keep and open mind but not too open as to loose anything that really matters.

And Jim...yes you are older...way way way older I mean older than dirt way way way older...but having said that it's good to know that you're still able to recognize silhouettes and not the kind from the firing range back in the day. No need for you to take the side trail Jim....my comment was a metaphor...besides the leash we have you on only extends out 12 feet...you wild man!? ::) >:D ::)

Finally....as I have much too respect for Lynn's judgement and quick wit, I leave you wallowing in the wind when it comes to understanding and responding to any woman's comments, opinion, and direction....you're on your own mister! Which brings me back to my personal rule....when you're making turns....it's you, no alpha/omega rules apply! When the cocktails are poured...all bets are off!

G? ;D

Talk about topic drift!! :o

We all have too much time on our hands! The lyrical and poetic tone developing is WAY over my head! ;)

I will have to take a writing course to continue discoursing on this forum if this keeps up. :D :D

Keep an open mind and an open weekend for the possibility of some early ski season coaching.

My gray matter awaits!

Now....my gray matter is thinking about skiing somewhere in May. I'm going to be out in Boulder May 22nd -25th visiting our daughters....that would leave only 6 months till ski season again....nice

Hmmm...should I go early and ski....hmmmm....the pull is so strong...... :-\

Phil is going to be out there a few weeks before and I was thinking about joining his group but forgot about the trip to see our young ladies....

Hmmm.....visit then ski or ski then visit....I'm thinking since my wife is going with me.....Rule 5 might apply!

Gary,

you did mention that #5 rule applies when "the skis are placed in the ski rack. ;) Will that be before or after you have met up with Phil?  >:D

Hmmm..........tread wisely.........just ask Jim...... ;D ;D

I feel myself falling in to the dark abyss.......

I may need a rope...a long one to climb back out.....

I am most certainly trying to get another trip out west and await just those instigators that would encourage and join me on this romp, run, and dive into the snowy west.

My loving and understanding wife has sanctioned this event and is willing to release the skis from the rack where they await my happy little toes.

Event and potential dates now in the planning stages....will keep you all posted and see if we or I can't entice others to fall prey to the snow slopes and adventures yet untold.

I'm gonna grab the loose end of the rope and throw it in the hole with ya.  Post dates and proposed locations.  I could possibly force another short trip...
