"In a similar vein, sure, I'd like to trade my daily driver Supershapes for a RX 70. But for what advantage? I can hear Phil smiling at this marketing opening."

I kinda did this. ?I sold you my Supershapes and last night I mounted up my RX70's... ? ;D

I agree with Ron!!   :o :o

Priceless! Hey, enjoy them! Everybody needs at least one pair of Kastle's. ;D ;D ;D
A Phil purchase? Talk about 6 degrees of seperation. I knew Phil, who knew Ron, who Gary, who knew Greg, who posts on Epic sales.

Actually, I'm still smiling at my Supershapes performance and the cost/benefit analysis made our deal a "no brainer". The box and shipping peanuts Greg shipped them in was worthy of shipping a couple of pair of RX 70's. Nice east cost carver! Keep them on edge and they hold speeds pretty well.

They took a major hit yesterday when I got plowed into during an instructional clinic. Need to epoxy a square inch of topsheet and file out side edge indentation. My body survived better than my skis, somebody up there likes me better this year. I ended up about 60 yards below my skis, and, the person who brought them down to me though them as "heavy". They are , but, not on the feet.

Original Supershapes are still a ton of fun on the hard snow.  I'm hoping to get out on the RX70's on Saturday, all I've been doing is waxing them so far...

What's really most important is that we have gear that we love and that helps us ski to the best of our ability. I can tell you for my skiing, it can't get much better than the Im 78. I am more than willing to try the MX 78 and I look forward to it. If you asked  me a year ago about a K2 ski I would have laughed. I love my Hardsides. As long as I have skis that I love and good snow to ski on, I am happy and life is very good!!

John:

What are conditions like at Big Sky and whats "next weeks" projection.  Lynn is headed out there on Sunday for a "medical conference" and hopes to "sneak in some skiing"??

Jim and Lynn, conditions are pretty good. We have had maybe 15-18 inches of snow over the past 6 days. It just got colder today (10F today) but it is supposed to warm up next week. Usually at this time of year you get 1-4 inches 4 times in a week. Just enough to make things nice. Every once in a while you get a foot. Things should be pretty good next week. Enjoy!!

YAHOOO!! ;D
I have had a lot of scratchy or icy snow conditions this year!
Looking forward to some softer stuff!!

Bringing some reading with me too, PMTS instructor manual. For assistance in getting the drills done correctly.
And it may help if my fellow midwife wants to work on technique as well.

Thanks for the info John.

Gary, we never could make the dates work. I iwll have to ski the Kastle's next season. I may go out to Colorado in April. If so, I will meet up with the rep who lives in vail. I'm just not sure I am going to make it there. I would love to ski the MX 78 and the whole line.

Gary, I have no present plans for April. I do love skiing in Colorado in April. They always seem to get snow and there is no one on the slopes. Loveland is a my favorite spot. Let me know if you plan something. I don't know whether I will be able to slip away or not.

Ok John.....Loveland and A Basin can hold snow well through April....Loveland is probably the most accessible.

Will keep you posted.

Thanks,
G
