Ron strikes again with his laser like focus............so rry to get off topic. ::)
Perry:  I think I missed the segue from SnowBird to SnowBasin, and I think I completely missed the connection between skiing the chute and the bathroom.  At least one little mind is a bit confused.   ;D ???

Any time you start a run with the tips hanging out over the edge, the pucker factor increases big time. Nice pics! Rachel skied with us at Jackson Hole this year and is just a real solid, smooth skier. Goes anywhere and handles the terrain with ease. When I grow up, I wanna ski just like her ;D.

At Killington this week, their steepest runs are 30 degrees (Outer Limits) and really present no problems, other than gnarlly bumps. I will say that snow conditions make the runs ski much more difficult than the slope would indicate. In soft spring snow, just go anywhere as fast as you want. However, in early morning, just a simple traverse across a 30 degree pitch can be close to impossible without ice skates. On a few runs down double diamonds the center of the trail was so hard and icy, all I could do is slide following each turn. Not fun! That's why we fly west.

Something I wonder about. Looking at the pic, it seems the edge has a kicker. Once the initial drop is done and your into it, it's steep but should be manageable by a competent skier assuming decent snow. And for sure, photography distorts reality. When a good skier claims it's real steep, shut up and just believe!

Go Rachel - She rocks!
