Nicely done Jim....hmmm....not China again  :-[...but hey it's the political and financial way of the world.

You do bring up some interesting ski base points.......adding even more confusion to my muddled mind.. :'(

I mean are manufacturers building in (like they do everything else) obsolesence into all things made?

Are they prematurely trying to wear out my bottoms?

Ok..this is my favorite:

If I add powdered graphite to my waxing process, will my skis go faster, last longer...hmmmmm...f aster and last longer...I'm thinking there maybe some other uses for that too.... 8)

So...my Kastles whose bases are well scared with trophy depressions will be that way until I can get some legitimate answers....hmmmm... maybe I can send them to China for an overhaul.. ;)  Best, g

Re China:

Remember that the owner of Ski Logik (and his partner) got badly burned by lack of quality control when their previous company  moved ski production to China.  I read a comment about thousands of pairs of skis that were just chopped up.  And it eventually ended the company and, I believe, the partnership and friendship.  So he moved his family to an island off the coast in order to have access to cheaper labor but still maintain the quality he wanted.

I think your beloved Kastles just need some Ptex judiciously and strategically dripped on them.
