Phil and I have spoken several times. If the tenor of his voice is indicative of his feelings, he's just doing great. From conversations and reading his thoughts over the past years, it's been his dream to live in the mountains. While I will miss skiing with him at Blue Mtn., I'm glad he decided to live his dream.

A funny aspect is that I get a fair number of voice messages from him. When I listen, he's in a conversation with someone in the shop or walking Ziggy, his dog. I'm on his speed dial  and somehow the combination gets punched in.

Hey Phil, I wore a sweatshirt this morning. Ski season's coming!
