The ski room was very cool. I have never seen so many skis. They were training downhill the next day so the place was filled with speed skis. Downhill skis were 4-5 inches taller than me (at 6 3")!! Besides talking with some of the techs about tuning we also got a lesson in WC boots. I had no idea that for the speed events most of the guys are on really soft and flexy boots. a 130 flex is by far the stiffest boot anyone uses and many are on much softer boots than that. It is becuase tip pressure does nothing but cost you time in the speed events!! Learn something new every day. Shows you how important tip presure is for the average recreational skier that wants to control their speed!!
