Jim,
My cold weather jacket happens to have a inside pocket that is a very nice fit for the Platapus, so other than a little weight I don't notice it. Looking at some other jackets and shells, pocket space may be a problem.

I was in REI looking at small camelback units, capable of being worn inside the jacket, when the sales rep showed me the Platapus. I thought it a better solution to carrying small amounts of water. On western trips, the larger capacity of camelback is a plus. I had a nice little unit like yours, but, somehow it stayed in Jackson Hole last winter when I left. Smart camelback!  ::) My old unit was harder to clean and left a plastic taste.

FYI, search the REI website for Platapus and they have a whole line of water storage devices, but, not dedicated camelback type devices.
