Hi Gary,

Well, for skis I'm a little up in the air.  I like the sounds of the Rossi Experience 98 as a crud and NE powder ski.  I skied Ed's Harts (Pulse 2) last winter and really loved the feel.  But, I'm always on a budget, so we'll see what I'm on this winter.  I'm sure that the Rossi Z9's are going in the ski sale this fall.  Not enough grip.  I did find a pair of FKS 155s this summer for $100 and know someone with a Rossi GS ski for cheap, so I'll probably make that my ice ski (unless they are better than the kid's in which case I'm sure they will get the good ones and I'll get what's left).

I tried a pair of the Avenger Ti 82's last spring.  They were confidence inspiring, very smooth feeling, handled speed really well, but were not really very exciting or playful.  But, I thought it was a great ski - just not quite right for me.

Liam - Will I keep the skis away from my kids?  Probably not - but it depends on what is in my quiver when snow flies.  I'll probably keep them away from Paul though - he is pretty much a destroya.  I pretty much cringe everytime I give him my credit card so he can demo a new pair of skis.  And I did get him a pair of Icelantic DaNollie's on ebay this summer (which he paid for) for $160 with bindings.  They are pretty much new.  Joyce is getting a new pair of Icelantic Oracles that I got new (undrilled) for $200.  Still looking for a binding for them.  Got any ideas at the shop?
