Possibly the latter   HH was crazy enough to strap on a pair of skis, point 'em down the hill, and charge down a WC downhill course sans helmet.  A few years later, they called his successors the Crazy Canucks.  And you appear to have a penchant for "skiing trees" on race stock skis    Have you met jclayton from Mallorca?  He uses pine trees as slalom poles when on Harb Carvers.  A long lost relative?
