I have graduated from sling to ace bandage. Only slight swelling at the joint. Nothing worth taking pics of. Especially after you shared your gorgeously GRUESOME hernia pics. They were great. 

Using the arm carefully and gingerly. It really was just an itty, bitty break.

 You having pain internally is probably just part of the healing process. Even laprascopically, they separate layers, disturb muscles etc. Whatever method keeps the kevlar in place, supporting the muscles, must heal.
