Lynn, I have never successfully roasted a duck.  You get about a gallon of fat rendered off, and are left with very little meat.  Must be doing something wrong, cause it always turns out tough and chewy.  I'll have to get some advice on this, because other people I know seem to be able to get a decent meal out of it.  I'm afraid to tackle a goose, for fear of the same results.  Let me know if you have better luck.
