Ron Goes with ATOMICS- and boot lengths
« on: October 27, 2006, 08:41:38 am »
Yes, since Bode dropped his sponsorship of Atomic, I thought it would be a good opportunity to try to get picked up by Atomic but they weren't interested ;D So I went ahead and bought a pair anyway. The Atomic boot is fantastic and fits me best. I went with their 100 or exta-soft boot.  Ironically, its stiffer than the Head RS 96 (130). I think Head Softened it too much this season.  Many thanks to all for their help. These babies are sweet! you can read my review under the boots section. I feel more like I'm wearing a pair of hiking boots than regular boots.  Billy Kaplan will widen them up a bit but I actually fit into a size 26, 304 boot!  I am stll trying to figure out how but it worked.

OK Gary, bring on the abuse, in case you others don't know the Atomics http://www.atomicsnow.com/atomic.php?id=93&s=10 Race Tech TI 100's are red on top with white bottoms. I really don't care what anything looks like, I swear!

Congrats on the boots, Ron.

Any time you can downsize the shell dimensions and improve comfort your on the right track!

Cheers,

Michael

Yeah, the biggest gain here was goin gto a lower volume shell that was quite a bot shorter. The HEads next size down (26) would have been a tough one to fit into.
