Any of you guys ever ride this one ?  I'm looking for a 15-17m radius hard snow ski in 175-178 length range, GS type ski.  Flat's OK

Hi Greg,

I 've heard owners comment that the the Course Comp is softer and more relaxed than other "cheater" GS skis.

Usually the Course Comp can be purchased for about $150 for NOS if you go back three years. I like the Fischer WC RC if you are considering a "cheater" GS ski.
Consider this: http://www.ski-depot.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=fiscwcrc07&Category_Code=fiscrace07&Product_Count=2

Head Supershape Speed & iXRC 1200 models are also a good alternative. I like Dynastar as a brand, but there recreational-race products are not as good as others IMO.

What are your requirements and how will you use the ski?

Sincerely,

Michael

I've already got a pair of i.xrc1200's in 170 standing in the corner ready to go for the Midwest hardpack for short turn situations.? I'd like something with a longer turn radius for hardpack conditions and some local GS racing.? WC RC's are on the potential list also.

Probably the GS skis getting the most buzz right now are the Blizzard Magnesium's. I picked up a pair of 3 year old Sigma RS, these are 182cm with a 104-64-88mm sidecut. They are a laminate ski with two sheets of titanium.

Blizzard seems to be on a roll!

These were just listed on Epic: http://forums.epicski.com/showthread.php?t=61216

"I have a pair of last year's Dynastar Speed Course mounted with Look PX14 bindings. The skis are in excellent shape and stored with summer wax on them. At the most they have 6 days of Stowe groomers on them.
Size: 178cm
Dimensions: 112-67-98
radius: 17m

Bindings are a 5-14 DIN. The plate is predrilled, so you do not have to drill the ski to remount.

$375 plus shipping".

Are you committing to the WC RC?

I'm considering it.  I've never heard anything but good about that ski...

I had a pair of 04/05 WC RC in a 175cm, they were great. I posted a review in the "Fischer" section here: http://skiforums.org/rev2/index.php?topic=19.0 .

The newest version is just as good and friendlier to use. I have the Flowflex plate on my WC SC and like it. It smooths out the afternoon chop and makes the ski more stable at speed.
