Streamboat temps, weather and altitude
« on: December 13, 2007, 07:23:41 am »
I thought it may be helpful to let you know a little about what to expect

1- Steamboat has several microclimates meaning the weather can and will change unexpectedly.
2- Steamboat is famous for its inversions, meaning its often zero at the base and 10-15 on top
3- expect early AM temps to be near zero or 10 every morning but warming up quickly once the sun rises; about 9:30-10:00

Altitude of Steamboat base village is only about 7,000. This means that it's much less than Beaver Creek. You may find little to no altitude affects. If in dobut and your Dr. says OK, we have found that 120 mg of Ginkgo Bilobo per day for a couple days prior is a big help.

Great info Ron.  Buying my Gingko today. Good to hear the sleeping altitutde is lower than BC. Hopefully will feel a bit better than at BC.
