well, we all joke about my buying and selling habits, and I do a lot of both; I really pretty much break even.

the last month:

bought watea84's
Bought Shamans
bought Descente jacket (totally killer deal!)

Sold Supershapes
Sold Contact 11's
Sold Mojo90 flat
Sold Kjus pants
Selling 84's (great ski, just too much overlap. One of the best soft snow all mountain skis)

You can see my awesome boots in this pic. I have no idea who that lady is in the background; she was nice though. After my wife took this pic of me, the lady took our pic together.... ;D

Who, the lady behind me?  :D

For the record, that had I'm wearing is way older then the boots. That's circa 1988-89. I just retired it last month.

Nope...it's not...the wife was taking the picture.

The question remains....

and I believe there's a consensus that Glenn should consider boots, foot bed and a good bootfitter.....

Come on Glenn....save your pocket change this summer and treat yourself!

Flatlands there...well Ok...but short drives to some pretty darn nice eastern resorts.

Ok...if you like the Salomon fit....please do yourself a huge favor...

Check out the Salomon Impact boots....I will guarantee the first thing you'll say (now that I've planted the thought) is "wow, I can actually feel my feet working the skis".....

Glenn....many skiers are happy how they ski and how their gear works..as my daughter once said "I'm just perfect with myself".
However, with your keen interest in new skis and the kind of skis you're stepping into....the primary link between your ability and your skis are your boots.

Match up the boots in the performance level and you'll be amazed with the response.? If you're looking to improve at a more rapid pace...then this is the sure fire way.

Heck, all may be just fine and we're just preaching to the choir but.....somewhere, someone will hear our song!

Best, Gary

You guys are 100% correct. I really do need to update the boots. At the very least, I will do a bit of "trying on" later this spring or summer. I do need to upgrade the boots. While they fit nice and are comfy, it's just time to get something newer...to go with the new skis.

Glen, there are a lot of excellent fitters in your area. I would post over at Epicski. com in the boot fitting section for some names. It may not seem to be so critical now but once you get a properly fit bed and boot, your skiing will go to  new levels. No joke.

I think I'll do that Ron. Time to get some new boots to go with the new skis.  8)
